Villasimius (Crabonaxa in the Sardinian language) is a coastal village in southern Sardinia, with little more than 3.500 people. It's also one of the classic and famous beaching destinations here, with a large territory and several natural beauties.

Not far from Cagliari (about 1 hour driving) and from its hub, Villasimius can be reached by a road which offers enchanting panoramas. We suggest this place to people looking for a calming and uplifting vacation during the low and average season (from May to half June and from half September to October), or to enjoy the local night life during the most crowded months (July and August).

The main beaches and coves of Villasimius - starting from the southern coast (Mediterranean Sea) and going to east (Tyrrhenian Sea) - are: Porto sa Ruxi, Piscadeddus, Campus, Cuccureddus, Campulongu, Spiaggia del Riso (Rice Beach), Spiaggia del porticciolo, La Fortezza, Santo Stefano, Cala Caterina, Cala Burrone (close to Carbonara Cape), Cava Usai, Porto Giunco, Notteri, Timi Ama, Simius, Is Traias, Porto Luna, Manunzas, Riu Trottu (Winding Small Stream), Punta Molentis, Procceddus.

The flagship of this coastal corner is the Protected Marine of Carbonara Cape, which is one of the main sea parks in Sardinia. Its stunning sea beds are ideal to practice sport such as diving and snorkelling, but you may also enjoy a visit to the park by boat, stopping sometimes to relax and bathe.

Other outside sports are also popular such as mountain biking, sailing, surfing and water skiing. This part of Sardinia is home to a wonderful 18 hole golf course, awarded the prize "best new Italian golf course" (The World of Golf review) in 2007.
